I figured it would be nice to introduce Norra for all the new followers and give a short update to all of you who have been following us for a while.
My name is Jacob and I started this journey a few years ago, if you scroll back in the blog you’ll find the first steps. But long before all this started, I came from a background within product design, working many years in the outdoor industry designing and building backpacks and sleeping bags for brands like Haglöfs, Helly Hansen, Silva and Peak Performance.
I guess the most common question from friends and family is; when will you make a backpack for Norra? Who knows there might be a backpack in the making :)
Depending on how you look at it, one could say that Norra is a tiny team, or a very big team. We have a small studio in Nynäshamn just south of Stockholm where we create and play. But it would not be anything without all the great suppliers, factories, outdoor enthusiasts and photographers we work with. There are many people involved helping us make all these great products. And, of course, we would not be anything without all the support from friends, family and you who use our products!
That being said, the business idea, simply put, is all about combining the passion for product design and the joy of being outside. We aim to get more people out in nature with great design and functional products. You set your own ambition, we simply give you some great tools. Hike your own hike, one could say.
And for all of you who have been with us for a while; it's been quite some time since the last blog post, well, it has been a really special year to say the least.
One could say that we lost the trail for a while but recently we found our way back, and things have started to move in the right direction again!
Losing sight of the trail was far from planned, and also means that we have been/are reworking a lot of things within the brand. But before we can share more details, there are still a few more rocks to climb.
Regarding product development, you might wonder what is happening with some of the projects and products that has not yet been launched. Rest assured we are still working on them, they might come in a different order, new projects might pop up before, but we will keep you posted on the progress.
We can’t wait to get 2024 starting and really hope that you will follow along!
