Map with boat

The journey home.

Once the product had passed the final inspection and we had received and approved an inline production sample the pants were ready for their long journey to Sweden. There are a couple of stops along the way and the first stop was where they were loaded on the boat in the harbour named HaiPhong.

HaiPhong is the closest harbour to Hanoi in the north of Vietnam where our production partner have their factory. The next stop on their journey is HoChi Minh harbour after that the boat leaves Vietnam and travels to Singapore and the it passes through the Suez canal. Once in Europe the boat stops in Rotterdam before finally arriving in Sweden and Gothenburg.

From HaiPhong the boats takes an almost 7 weeks long trip that passes through 3 continents and about 20 countries before arriving in the harbour of Gothenburg. In Gothenburg the pants, after being cleared by the customs, are loaded on a truck that drives them to the Norra office in Nynäshamn.

As this post is being posted the boat have approximately 30 days more days before arriving in Sweden.
